The Gram Seva Dadenggre funded by SBI Foundation Mumbai, organized Cultural Events at Dadenggre Public Playground today.
The objective of the program is to promote and preserve the traditional games and sports in the era of technology where people only play games on mobile phones.
Civil SDO of Dadenggre Shri V. Aggarwal, IAS, graced the event as the Chief guest in presence of Sri Rakseng Marak, Dy. Director of Bakdil, Ms. Sengtera Sangma, Project coordinator, Gram Seva and Ms. Priyana Momin, Livelihood Officer, Gram Seva.
Civil SDO, Vibhor Aggarwal, IAS, appreciate the effort Bakdil and SBI Foundation together made to organize this program. He also thanked SBI Foundation for funding such programs.
Giving his support to Rakseng's Speech, Shri V. AGGARWAL also said that youth are spending most of their free time on mobile phones rather than playing outdoor games and doing some exercises. He admitted that he himself used mobile phones a lot.
He also promised to extend support from the SDO office for organizing such programmes in the future saying that Bakdil need not have to bear all the costs.
Later He interacted with the youth and said that he can write proposals to Shillong to construct an indoor stadium in Dadenggre Sub Division provided the condition that village people have to come and use the indoor stadium.
