On February 17 and 18, 2025, the Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (MSSDS) organized an intensive workshop at the Moreau Institute Integral Training (MIIT) building in Shillong. The event featured insightful sessions led by distinguished dignitaries and experienced resource persons, including Shri Ramkumar S, IAS, Executive Director of MSSDS; Shri Gopal Purkayastha, Vice President and Cluster Head of HDFC Bank; Smt. Alvida Kharbudon, Program Manager of SANKALP MSSDS; and other esteemed officers from MSSDS.
The workshop proved to be highly beneficial, inspiring, and transparent, covering crucial topics essential for the effective implementation of skill development programs. The key sessions included:
Project Management and Best Practices
Monitoring and Evaluation
Understanding Payment Processes
Overseas Placement Opportunities
Training Partners' Performance Status Review, among others.
A significant highlight of the event was the comprehensive review of Training Partners' (TPs) performance, displayed on a large screen for all attendees. The status of various training initiatives was meticulously analyzed, providing valuable insights into their impact and effectiveness.
Among the many organizations reviewed, BAKDIL's training program showcased remarkable success. The organization successfully trained all 175 targeted trainees and facilitated placement opportunities for 111 beneficiaries, demonstrating its commitment to skill development and employment generation.
The workshop reinforced the importance of structured training programs and effective project management, ensuring that skill development initiatives in Meghalaya continue to empower individuals and create sustainable livelihoods.
